What does it feel like to #getyourassintonature?

It feels very liberating and made me feel proud of myself.

What is your favorite part about #getyourassintonature?

My favorite part about #getyourassintonature is the body positivity it promotes.

What does adventure mean to you?

Adventure to me is pushing myself to try out new things I’ve never done before. But these things have to give me adrenaline rush to be considered an adventure. Things like skydiving, going on a solo trip, or being naked on a beach for the first time.

How do you exhibit courage when you #getyourassintonature?

I grew up in an environment where my family and friends were very criticizing of physical appearance. When I was younger, I used to always had to be fully covered going to the beach because I felt insecure. Perhaps I gained a few pounds one year, or my tummy ain’t flat enough, or I got a scar on my leg. It took me many years to embrace my own beauty and love how my body looks naturally. When I found this community on Instagram, I told myself someday, I’ll be brave enough to post a photo of me butt naked. And I did! And I’ve never been prouder of myself.

Brad (the guy in the photo), my boyfriend, has also played a big part of me becoming courageous. He gives me positive feedback whenever thoughts of insecurities come to mind. And he loves every wrinkle and cellulite in my body.

To those people who’ve criticized my body in the past, this photo is me saying: you can kiss my ass.
