We knew there wasn’t going to be much sun and fun left in the fall so I grabbed Jeremy and made him play in the leaves with me for an hour taking photos. It was a great way to celebrate the passage of the equinox. We nudists really value our sun!

What does it feel like to #getyourassintonature?

There’s a ton of health benefits to running around naked in nature! The part of our brain that’s hyper-engaged in modern life deactivates a little when you’re outside. One of the best ways to rest your eyes is to be out in nature and look at things far away, like a mountain.

Being a naturist has had so many mental health benefits for Jeremy and I (@MandyZelinka). He has been able to not only survive but thrive with complex PTSD and it has not only helped my body image but also alleviated anxiety and helps me manage my ADHD.

And hiking without pants on is bad ass!

What is your favorite part about #getyourassintonature?

That it’s a movement that Skinny Dippers can get behind! #BareNakedAdvocacy

What does adventure mean to you?

Being free. The wind on your naked skin while hanging out in the sand or among trees. Skinny Dipping. Disrupting the Status Quo. Doing The Right Thing.

How do you exhibit courage when you #getyourassintonature?

Getting my ass in nature with friends caused me to realize that there is a huge lack of equity and social justice in the naturist community. So we launched a podcast www.NaturistPodcast.com to get feedback from our Skinny Dippers Community, which is very diverse. We have also launched the @GlobalNaturistAlliance which will include a social justice arm that we haven’t yet seen enough of in the naturist leadership globally. We are developing a Naturist Field Guide to set the mission, vision, and values of the naturist community. We consider it a working Google doc to what naturism means in a current context so that the Field Guide is always evolving instead of being stagnant and outdated.
