I’ve always felt at most home in nature and within my own body, so I try and blend the two as often as I can.

What does it feel like to #getyourassintonature?

It feels like this is how we should be living 24/7. You feel free, powerful, fearless and vulnerable; all at once.

What is your favorite part about #getyourassintonature?

I like how it not only pushes people out of their comfort zones, but makes one realize that living in your comfort zone isn’t really living at all.

What does adventure mean to you?

Adventure means doing something you have always thought was impossible and realizing the only thing that was stopping you was yourself. It means being out of your comfort zone, but being comfortable with that.

How do you exhibit courage when you #getyourassintonature?

I am a type 1 diabetic, and a lot of people have told me that things would be harder in life because of that. While that may be true, it has only pushed me to push even further. To hike that insane hike, to live overseas and to “do that thing that is hard”. In my photo you can see me holding my insulin pump in my right hand. It is refreshing to have a photo of myself completely exposed, but where my insulin pump isn’t the focal point or the “weird thing” taped to my body. It’s just me, who is the focal point, nothing else.
